Construct export
A finished design is only useful if it can leave the platform in a format a synthesis vendor, patent attorney, or lab protocol can work with directly. Six formats, one click, full annotations preserved.

Six formats, one design
Every construct in the platform — whether from the catalog or designed from scratch — can be exported in any of six formats without losing information. The annotation map travels with the sequence regardless of format: genes, promoters, terminators, guide RNA spacers, restriction sites, and edit coordinates all stay attached.
Full annotation — primary format
The complete annotated sequence in flat-file format. Compatible with Benchling, SnapGene, Geneious, and NCBI submission. Every feature, qualifier, and note included.
Sequence-only — synthesis-ready
Plain nucleotide sequence for synthesis vendors who take raw FASTA. Codon-optimized for your chosen organism, with no ambiguous bases.
Synthetic Biology Open Language v2
Interoperable with SBOL-aware tools (SynBioHub, SBOLDesigner). Preserves component hierarchy and interaction annotations.
gBlocks / Alt-R gRNA submission
A spreadsheet formatted for IDT's ordering portal. Guide RNA spacers formatted as crRNA entries; gene cassettes as gBlocks with any required homology arms.
Gene synthesis order file
Twist-format CSV with sequence, organism, and vector backbone fields pre-filled from the design record. Ready to upload to the Twist ordering portal.
Patent sequence listing
Compliant with WIPO ST.26 requirements for patent sequence listings. Required format for patent applications filed after 2022. Qualification codes and feature annotations included.

What's in every export package
A single export produces a ZIP archive. Inside: the sequence file in your chosen format, a construct map in SnapGene-compatible format, the CRISPR guide RNA spacer sequences with scoring data, primer recommendations for confirmation PCR, and a protocol PDF with organism-specific transformation notes. This is everything a synthesis vendor or a self-assembling lab protocol needs to proceed without asking you for more information.
- Sequence
- Full coding sequence, codon-optimized for selected organism
- Construct map
- SnapGene .dna format — features, annotations, restriction sites
- CRISPR guides
- Top-ranked spacers with Doench score, GC%, PAM, CFD off-target
- Primers
- Confirmation PCR primers with Tm, GC%, 3′-hairpin check
- Protocol PDF
- Organism-specific Agrobacterium transformation protocol
- Manifest
- Reproducibility manifest — model version, inputs, timestamp
03
Patent sequence listing
The ST26 export is included because every construct produced by the platform is a potential IP asset. WIPO’s ST.26 standard replaced ST.25 in 2022 and is now required for all patent applications that include biological sequence information. The export fills the qualification codes from the design record (organism, sequence type, feature annotations) rather than requiring a separate filing tool.
The ST26 file is a starting point, not legal advice. Patent prosecution requires a qualified attorney. The export makes the sequence listing portion a solved problem rather than a billing event.
