Sleeper Agent Lettuce Wraps
Lettuce wraps are supposed to be cool, crisp, and refreshing. Sleeper Agent lettuce is all of those things, plus a faint warmth at 500 SHU that nobody can identify but everyone notices. It's the best kind of culinary espionage.

Tips
- Deep Cover lettuce (5K SHU) cups for noticeable heat.
- The lettuce cups should be ice-cold — the temperature contrast amplifies the capsaicin awareness.
TRPV1 receptors are temperature-sensitive — cold suppresses their firing. Capsaicin activates them regardless of temperature, but the hot filling on cold lettuce creates a push-pull: your mouth receives simultaneous 'cold' and 'capsaicin hot' signals, heightening awareness of both.
