What Is a Genomic Construct?
A genomic construct is a precisely designed DNA sequence that, when introduced into a target organism, produces a defined biological function — in Scoville Splice's case, a specific pattern of receptor activation (IFI vector) in the host tissue. Each construct is delivered as a package of files, not a physical sample.
What's in the Package
Every construct in the catalog ships with: full FASTA + GFF3 annotation of the construct sequence; CRISPR guide RNA specifications (target sequences, PAM sites, predicted off-target sites); pathway edit specifications describing which native genes are modified; FBA report with predicted metabolic context and yield estimates; IFI validation data from protoplast testing; and a compliance package summarizing USDA, FDA, and EU regulatory classification.
What It Is Not
A construct is not a transformed seed, a plant line, or a finished product. It is an engineering blueprint licensed for use in your own transformation program. You are responsible for introducing it into your target organism, obtaining any required regulatory approvals, and conducting your own validation experiments. The included protocol documentation covers standard introduction methods for the host species.
